UK Spouse Visa Leaving UK

Good evening all,

My wife moved to the UK in February of this year on a spouse Visa.

I have a question that i am struggling to find an answer to and would appreciate any advice.

How long is she allowed to leave the UK for a single period of time continuously?

Is there a maximum total amount of time within the spouse visa period that you are allowed to be out of the UK? i.e do they total up the amount spent out of the UK?

She simply wants to go and visit her family.

Only absences over 6 months need to be declared when applying for a FLR(M) visa extension or ILR.

No more than 90 days absence in the 12 month period prior to applying for British citizenship.

Thank you for your reply. So she is not applying for a British citizenship. It's her first 33 months spousal visa. When she arrived to the UK in February she then went back to Russia and stayed there for about 2 months. She would like to visit Russia again in October - for a week or two. Will it be ok? What are the limits in the first 12 months period? Thanks.

There is no limit on absences on a spouse visa.
