Didn't include appendix 2 with fiancé visa application

Post by klodidi » Thu Sep 29, 2016 9:30 pm

Hello,

Me and my fiancé applied for his visa in Colombo Sri Lanka and it was forwarded to Chenai in India. Our solicitor made a mistake and didn't prepare the appendix 2 in addition to our online form. My fiancé tried to fill it in there and then, but did it with major mistakes. The application was submitted and our solicitor is now trying to send the correctly filled in form directly to Chennai. We still haven't had any response.

Will our application be refuses due to this issue? Will immigration office in Chennai review communications sent to them and add it To our application.

I'm having a baby next month and feeling really worried that my fiancé will not make it in time for The birth :(

Even without the issue of the amended Appendix 2, you may be over-optimistic with your expectation of your fiance joining you next month.

Current UKVI statistics show that only 3% of settlement visa applications submitted in Columbo are processed in 30 working days (38 days).

98% are processed in 60 working days (76 days).

Casa, thank you for your response! Yes I know, I'm hoping for a miracle and maybe their kindness, we meantioned the fact that I'm Having a baby. It's already been 2 weeks, so if it's 60 days he might be only 2 weeks late :)

What is your opinion on issue with Apendix?

Thanks so much

I really don't know. To be honest, my concern would be whether the ECO will accept an amended financial declaration.

Although I appreciate that this may not be your priority at the moment, I would at least ask for some recompense from your solicitor.

Have you been able to meet the minimum income level of £18,600 and submitted your most recent 6 months pay slips + corresponding bank statements?

Given that I make the financial requirements and have all the documents in the good order, do you think Apendix 2 is not essential? Or it still a top requirement?

Thank you for your response in advance

Appendix 2 is a mandatory form, regardless of your payslips/bank statements you have submitted.
