Tier 2 visa need for baby born in uk

Post by scher » Wed Oct 05, 2016 6:53 am

Hi,
I did come to uk on 13/09/2009 for my masters, have finished it, got psw visa from apr2012 to apr2014.I got Permanent job a s a web developer for nhs and I have applied for tier2 general visa on Jan2014 through premium service appointment( I have paid 970 pounds approximately). Then I got my Tier2general visa from 24/01/2014 TO 14/04/ 2017.my soc code was 2137 and my salary was 21,300.

I also applied tier 2 general dependent visa for my wife from India as I got married in aug2014 in India and she got the visa from Nov 2014 to 14/04/ 2017..she came to uk on nov 2014 and we are blessed with a baby boy on dec2015 and I got his Birthcertificate and passport from inndian consulate as well as me and my wife are Indians. I have not applied tier2 visa for baby boy as I would like to keep him in India for 1 to 2 years along with grandparents so I have sent him back to india along with my wife recently on 17/08/2016..and my wife will comeback to uk by this month end ...
Now I am planning to extend my visa with the same company and the same job as my visa is going to expire on 14/04/ 2017..I would like to know that while I am extending mine and my wife's visa would it be a problem if I dont apply visa for baby boy as I would like to keep him in India ...

Thanks and Regards,
scher.

Hi iworker ...thanks a lot for the reply...
Also my passport issued on 12/2/2008 and expires on 11/02/2018..I would like to know that as I am planning to extend my visa for further 3 years ie from apr 2017 to apr 2020 as I am permanent employee ,do i need to renew my passport before my extension so that my passport expiry date does not effect my visa extension for next 3years ...or do i get 3 years extension visa with passport expiry date as 11/02/2018 and then I can renew my passport later on after sorting out the tier 2 extension visa..
Thanks and Regards,
Sreekanth

No, you do not have to renew your passport. Your visa extension will be a BRP card and not a vignette in the passport. The passport only has to be valid at the time of application.
