UK based limited company partner and UK Tier 1 Ent visa

Hi All,

Hope everything is going well. Just a quick cleaRIFICATION PLEASE.

I established my limited company from 4 months ago. I am the only director and shareholder for this company, and I have ILR. One of my international partners would like to be a shareholder in our UK based limited company and come to live in the UK as Tier 1 investor visa.

My question: what are the primary requirements for his case. I mean he would like to be a partner in my already established limited company. NOT need to find established or set his new company in the UK.

I am so sorry, as it seems that I posted in the wrong forum.

As I need to ask about Tier 1 (Entrepreneur), not Tier 1(Investor).

I read it is required £50,000 and in some case £200,000. I am confused between the difference between this two amount money. Also, and it is the important point is. The limited company already present in work in the UK, But the new Entrepreneur would like to buy the 50% of the shareholders of the company.
So does this new partner has to pay half of £50,000 or £200,000 to buy the 50% of the shareholders of the company? and if that YES. will that allow to him to apply for Tier 1 (Entrepreneur).

50K investment is only available under strict conditions when the money comes from UK government, UKTI or regulated seed investors in the UK. In other case he/she needs at least 200K to invest in your company.

If your friend want come on entrepreneur tier1 visa £200K cat, I would strongly advise he should open new business.This would much simple and straightforward application for apply visa and than extension.

I did same mistake, Few years back I had already open Limited company in UK and i owe 100% shareholder.
because of my case complexity I have submited lot of paper work from normal application.
