Hello,
My (now) wife came in to the UK on 29th June 2016 on the six month fiance visa. We got married on 30th September 2016 and have booked a premium appointment to apply for the FLR (M) in November.
On the required documents form it states that we must provide 6 items of official paperwork giving both of our names as addresses, to prove we have been living together since she arrived in the UK. As my wife will have only been here for 5 months once we submit the application this requirement is basically impossible for us to meet.
She can't register with a doctors surgery, she can't apply for a provisional drivers licence, and she cannot set up a bank account because you need permission to stay in the UK for more than 12 months to do this.
We also live with my parents at this time therefore we have no flat leasing/mortgage paperwork, no council tax letters, or utility bills.
Please can anyone advise whether us submitting a letter along with our application detailing the issues above would be sufficient for an officer when they review our application? Or if there are any other documents we can submit for proof of address?
Any advice on this would be much appreciated, thank you
