Tier 2 dependent visa problem

Post by Ahmed1fekry » Mon Oct 10, 2016 9:45 pm

I have arrived to U.K. In march 2012 , as tier 2 general,my wife and 2 children got visa on10/10/2012 arrived on 22/10/2012
I have been with same employer since
My current visa expires on 15/8/2017 ,same my family
So I will be eligible for Ilr next march 2017
My question
If I apply for ilr in march 2017 , what will be their status
As do I need to apply for them as Flr or pbs tier2 or keep them on same tier 2 dependent till it expires
As it expires in august2017 , I have to extend their visa for 2 month to be eligible for ilr

They can continue on their current visa status till they qualify for ILR.
As do I need to apply for them as Flr or pbs tier2 or keep them on same tier 2 dependent till it expires
No, they can stay on their current visas.
As it expires in august2017 , I have to extend their visa for 2 month to be eligible for ilr
Yes, unfortunately you will.

On what date did they APPLY for the original visa?

Thanks for reply
My wife made the application on 24/9/12

She is much scared that if I made Ilr , her visa extension will reset the 5 years as Flr
As she said there is no difference between both
Would you please tell me the direct reference for this information on the uk visa website to assure her

Thanks
