Wrong IHS calculation can't proceed

Post by Mehreen » Mon Oct 17, 2016 10:49 am

Hi gurus!

I am applying for my tier 2 dependant visa extension(Husband on ILR-5 year route)

On starting the application, the first thing it asks is "PERSON YOU ARE APPLYING TO REMAIN WITH IN THE UK"
But since I had read on the forum that you should say applying alone I am trying to that, the application wont proceed.

Can anyone please help? If i continue this way it is asking me IHS of £1700 instead of £600 :(

Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

NHS registration letter-Please reply soon

Post by Mehreen » Mon Oct 17, 2016 11:35 am

Hi everyone

Just wanted to ask a quick question:
For my Tier-2 dependent visa extension it says I need an NHS letter? Can anyone tell me what needs to be on the letter and can I get it from the GP?

I did receive a letter from my previous GP saying that I am registered at his practice and gives details of my NHS number as well. Can that work? Also that mentions the previous address we lived at- Do I need a new one from my new GP as well or will that work( my new GP doesn't seem to be fond of visa stuff).

What exactly does the question say? We don't all have access to the online forms.

You don't need an NHS letter for visas.

I just read it here and somewhere else as well. Didnt find it in the form itself. But you know how complicated the forms are. They never mention anything clearly! or maybe its just me! :(

This topic is from 2014 and the member was using an NHS document as proof of address if you!

If you are going to state something that is needed, you need to say where you saw the requirement.

You must APPLY ALONE, not to join or remain with anyone. DO NOT include partner details.

That's the problem. When i start the application it says partner details and if i don't fill them it doesn't let me proceed.

I wonder if people used any other application. I am using PBS dependent-Partner.

For the NHS document it says here on the guideline but I am not sure if it's meant for everyone or just under 18 year olds.

Any of the items on the list for proof of address. It DOES NOT say you MUST send NHS letter.
