2nd referee has filled in form slightly incorrectly?

Post by probedb » Sun Oct 23, 2016 11:55 am

Hi,

I'm enquiring for a friend. She got her first referee without any issues but the second referee is an older lady and has filled in some of the fields incorrectly. Easily enough to read the dates but she has filled the DOB field in wrong, i.e. missed leading zeros for the fields and in one field she's put 24 in a single D field.

My friend is ready to give up as it's been hard work to do.

Will this be OK on the form?

If anyone can help asap that'd be great :)

Many thanks,
Paul.

Is it OK to fill in referee details and have them sign it?

Basically as per the subject.

As in my other post it's an elderly woman and it would be easier if she were just to fill in the how she knows you bit and sign it?

Many thanks :)

No need for multiple topics on the same issue.

Referees should complete the form. Can she not find another referee?

Apologies for the multiple posts.

OK, understood re them filling it in, but is it OK that her DOB has been filled in slightly incorrectly?

It should not be an issue. To be honest, I am struggling to understand your first post with the way you have explained it.

If HO have an issue with the referee, they will write to the applicant.

I'm assuming OP means the second referee has not filled in the details in the correct boxes and written an incorrect date of birth.

I personally would find a different referee and avoid all the hassle. If the application is yet to be submitted, get it right first time to avoid any delays and headaches. Find someone else who can fill the details correctly.

I had a similar issue. One of my referees was hesitant wanting to fill personal details and left out the passport number saying if the HO need it, they can search it up, not how the HO works. I just gave up and used a different referee, not worth the hassle.

If HO have an issue with the referee, they will write to the applicant.
So for example she's not prefixed months with zeroes and managed to write 24 in one of the 'D' boxes, that's all it is.

Should be fine. HO are not checking on grammar etc.
