Nope, the form asks for all the information.

You also DO NOT need the SU07 form, if anyone tells you it must be submitted.

Question on VAF4 'when did you last see your sponsor'?

Post by cosak » Fri Oct 28, 2016 1:03 pm

hi guys,

There is a question on VAF4 asking 'When did you last see your sponsor'?... when my wife submits her application in Ukraine in the second week of January hopefully, i will be with her. I will obviously have submitted and printed the applications before at least two or three weeks.

I wonder what date shall i put there??... shall i put the date of my return from ukraine? or if yes, will the system allow me to enter date of future as the question is about the past??>>>

please help, very confusing??>>

Your most recent payslip and bank statement must not be older than 28 days.

thanks a lot CR001, very much appreciate your valuable advice.

also, when my wife submit her application on 10th Jan., i will be with her, visiting her in Ukraine and will return around 20th Jan. What shall I put on the quesiton on VAF4A 'when did you last see your sponsor?'... what date shall i put on that question??... will it be 20th Jan. or 10th Jan.??... i would have obviously submitted and printed the forms a couple of weeks before 10th Jan appoitment.... Will the system allow to put future date???...very confused about that question...please help....thanks a lot again...

Yes, payslips are fine, provided they are all for the same amount, i.e. not flucturating pay.

You put the date that you arrive there as last seen or state 'at present'. You cannot put a date that is after her appointment.

Salary is fine as long as the next couple of payments don't go below £1550.

thanks a lot CR001,

please one more question...sorry to bother a lot...

on VAF4A, there is a question ' where is your sponsor now?' i suppose the answer to this question is ' sponsor is in the UK'... i will be visiting her in ukraine when she submits the application... what do you think sir about this quesiton?... i will be just visiting her, suppose that doesn't count as same as living there... when the application form will be filled up, i will be in the UK...i will be in ukriane when the forms are submitted at the visa centre....

You're on non-salaried employment, so the calculation you will use is different to salaried employment! Read below, an excerpt from the link I have provided, on page 19:

"To calculate this annualised average for non-salaried employment in Category A the following calculation should be used:

(Total gross income from employment held throughout the 6 month period, divided by 6) multiplied by 12 = Income from non salaried employment that can be counted towards the financial requirement."

As I get paid weekly and the amount varies as well... I suppose I have to take 26 weeks prior to the date of application, divide them by 6 and then multiply by 12??...am I right please advice??

Also, I get my wageslip 17 days after I complete my working week... I intend to apply on 10th January...If i enclose the last wageslip of the week starting on 18th December...will it be alright?...i will enclose 26 wageslips going back....can i include more wageslips like 36 or something just in case???

Please advice

Ok. The rule is, from the date of application, online application that is, your last payslip can be no older than 28 days. So, in your case, you are fine!

Yes. You would count all 26 weeks of your payslips you have received, add it all up and divide by 6 and then multiply that by 12!

I see no need add in extra paylsips if the 26 weekly payslips add up to £9300 or above!

It's from the date you submit your online application!

If you submit on 20th December, yes, that is perfectly fine, as well!

thanks a lot sir,

i will be visiting my wife when she submits her application and document at the visa center for about 10 days... we would have completed the application beforehand, before i fly to my wife in her home country...

there is a question ' when did you last see your sponsor?'... and also 'where is your sponsor now?'...

i just wonder what to do with these questions>??.... should we put the dates of our last meeting??? and for second question.. the answer will 'in the uk'...

or shall we put it in additional information of appendix 2 that i am with her for 10 days... we won't be able to put it on the additional information page of VAF4A as it will already be filled and submitted...

very purplexing situation ...my wife was in the UK on visitor visa and went back on 12 October this year...
please help sir with this situation...very much appreciate...thanks a lot

Well, you have to remember, your response is based on the date you fill in this application. For example, if you fill it in today, your spouse last saw you on 12th October. And, yes, you are in UK "now".

Your must submit your VAF4A to the sheffield office, alongside your appendix 2. So, it shouldn't be submitted elsewhere. And, you should be submitting that after your biometrics!

I see no reason to add in that you're going to see her, it has no bearing on your application! But, if you want to, then, by all means!

Oh, nevermind. You are right and I was mixing up information! Just ignore the part about sending the documents to Sheffield office!

thanks mobeen,

on the question 'when did you last see your sponsor'?

I can submitted my return plane eticket (already bought) with document confirming that i will be flying to and back from ukraine in January and add a sentence in additional information... just to give more weight to 'strong relationship' factor...

i am going to submit my previous e-tickets of myself and my wife's visit to ukraine and hers to the UK and turkey... just to show how many time i have been there and she has been to teh UK and we both been to turkey... i suppose it should give them evidence of our meetings a different occasions...

i hope it will be fine...??? thanks again..

Re: spouse visa question

Post by cosak » Sun Oct 30, 2016 3:31 pm

hello sir,

I have been given mixed advice on question 1.28 of Appendix 2 about 'is your sponsor responsible for financially supporting anyone including children listed above?'......I send money to my wife and step daughter (different amount every month) and i have got the money transfer receipts from Transferwise company.

Do I put 'yes' to this question and mention their names...if it's yes, then what amount should i put for each of them as the amount differs every month..

Secondly, 'Do you and your sponsor have any sharied responsibilities?'.....the only thing i do for my wife and step daughter is that i send them money every month...we don't have any other financial commitments together, like bills, mortage or anything... i send them money for their home expenses because she is umemployed currently...

Thirdly, 'what your sponsor's annual income from this employment?'....i am applying under Cat A as non salaried employee being in the employment for 5 year continuously...the formula i am using is (total of last 6 month gross wages amount, divided by 6 and then multiplied by 12 = to annual wages...

Will I have to put the amount I get from the above calculation for above third quesiton???.....or ... will i have to put my gross wages of last financial year???... thanks a lot and very much appreciate your help in advance...
