Work start date for IHS

Post by a1234567 » Wed Nov 02, 2016 3:53 pm

Hi,
My initial Tier 2 General application and AR were refused. However, UKVI offered to reconsider their decision when I sent PAP.

They have now sent an email saying: Please could you now re-pay the Immigration Health Surcharge. I am assuming they refunded the IHS back to my employer (since they paid it last time).

When I now try to enter details on the IHS portal, it asks me for a work start and work end date. Can you please suggest if the start date should be a date in the future? Or same as entered in the COS?

The start date in COS was July 2016. Also I am not working since my visa was refused so I believe this date should be in the future. Can somebody please confirm?

Thanks in advance

Re health surcharge

Post by prashanthrao3 » Thu Nov 03, 2016 7:18 pm

Did my online allocation for tier 2 extension and then realised I have done a small mistake on health surcharge application. So re done the application for it and claimed refund on the first one. Now I thought I'd go back to visa application and amend the ihs number and realised that I had already submitted the application. What do I do now? Please help?some posts I read in few forums said do a cover letter with changes you will be fine but I'm not sure.

Why are you posting asking questions in the Tier 2 General and Tier 1 Entrepreneur forums? They are completely different with very different rules, timeframes and processes to the FLR(FP) application you have made and posted about.

Please keep to your own thread in the Family Immigration sub-forum.

Hi,

I have now received the Tier 2 General visa. But it took over 5 months for UKVI to change their initial refusal into approval.
As a result of this delay my employer has hired someone else in my position. They have asked me to apply from scratch if a new job becomes available. However, UKVI will be notified that I am no longer an employee and they will soon cancel my visa.
So can you guys please suggest if. by not taking me back, my employer has acted correctly?
Or can I make a complaint to seek compensation from UKVI? As their refusal led to me losing my job and income for the last few months?

Thanks in advance
