Calculating 5 Year Period for Tier2 General

Post by omprakashkarry » Wed Nov 02, 2016 6:37 pm

Hi, My Tier 2 general visa is expiring on Dec 20 2017. This is my second 3 year extension. And I wanted to apply for ILR as I am eligible after 5 years. My first sponsorship certificate had a start date of November / December 2011 (I can't remember exactly), however I applied for the visa few months after the start date i.e. Feb 2012. So, in this instance, can I apply for ilr at the end of Dec 2016 or do I have to wait till Feb 2017?

Your 5 years starts from the date your visa was issued NOT the CoS.
Char (CR001 not Casa)
