Would a 8th generation South African, from English decent (1820 British settlers) be able to apply for British citizenship / passport if I have all the prove (death-, marriage- & birth certificates)? What would my chances be?

You would only qualify if you met one of the following :

1. Born to a British born father

2. Born to a British born mother, different rules depending on when you were born (pre 1983 or after).

Do you have any British born grandparents?

If no to all of the above, then no luck unfortunately.
