Category A or Category B Application?

Post by klite12 » Sat Nov 05, 2016 12:40 am

Hi Guys,

I have took a gap-year from University to meet the income requirement of £18,600, in order for me to do this I have had to apply for another job, on top of my pre-existing employment (Since October 2015). My initial employment from October 2015 will now be part-time, and my new employment will be full-time. My new employment will start on November the 7th, 2016.

From my Part-Time employment I will earn £5990 (GROSS)
From my new Full-Time employment I will earn £17000 (GROSS)

Both jobs are official, with large companies who have their own HR Departments, payroll, etc. I will have payslips and bank statements.

In total, I will earn £22,990 (GROSS)

I want to get married in April (6 Months after my employment at my new job) I've seen lot of conflicting things which have made my incredibly anxious. I can provide consistent statements for 6 months showing I meet the income requirement, as I will be earning around £1806 p/month.

Would I need to apply under CAT B, and show 12 months worth of statements? This would really mess everything up as I wanted to go back to University next year.

Or would I need to apply under CAT A? By the time I apply and get married I would have been employed for over 6 months at my current employer.

This has made my incredibly anxious, if someone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Please can anyone advise me on this? I don't want this thread to get buried. I am incredibly anxious and really need some guidance. If I work two jobs, am I excluded from CAT A? By the time I apply for the spouse visa I would have been at my job for over 6 months. :(
