FLR-English language requirement

Hi everyone,
I am trying to apply for FLR (spouse visa). I need to apply in January 2017.I am a little confused about which English language test I need to take. Is it A1 or A2. If someone would be kind enough to clarify please.

A1 is sufficient.

Thank you so much. I was looking at other info on the board and can I ask one more thing please.. I took Ielts (Academic) for UK entry visa(on basis I came here) . Of course its 2 year validity is over but can it still be used for FLR.
