Still waiting...

Post by RewaP » Tue Nov 08, 2016 1:56 pm

Hi there,

I am British Citizen. My Aunt came to visit me last year who is 70 years old. Unfortunately I fell ill, hence I asked my aunt if she can stay bit longer with me . She kindly agreed, therefore I applied to extend her visa.

I applied for extension at the end of May this year. In August I received a letter from Home Office asking to get her IBR which I did. Till date I have not heard anything from Home Office either regarding her visa status or IBR. I am very nervous, and have no idea what should I do. I read on internet if you inquire about your application, they cancel it and send your passport back. Is there any way I can check about application online?

Many thanks in advance...

Did you apply to extend a visitor visa or another type of application?

I applied to extend my aunt's visitor visa on compassionate ground due to my ill health so that she can look after me. I sent all my hospital and GP reports. I also sent information about income related stuff for them to make sure we do not intend to claim any state benefits.

Any reason the docs or hospital couldn't look after you or a local person?
