Applying for South African Work permit

Post by akanetsamson » Thu Nov 17, 2016 3:13 pm

Hi there,

I am currently in the UK. I would like to visit South Africa on a visit visa to attend a Job interview.

I would like to enquire if it is possible to also make an application for the Critical Skills Work visa whilst I am there in South African or do I have to apply from outside? Supposing I have up to 3 months visit visa.

Thanks,

Regards,
Samson.

What is your actual situation as you have posted numerous posts with different circumstances and visas.

Tier 2 Visa Application Required Minimum Salary Workign hrs (click)

Family of Settled Person Visa (Click)

Why do you want to go to South Africa??

Hi, I am Originally from Nigeria. Been working on a Tier 2 work visa. I changed employment but due to the minimum salary requirement, this was refused. And my visa is now expired and I am on the 28 day grace period just hoping that the new company will up the salary so we can re-apply.

As there is still no word, I am looking at alternatives. I have over 4 years of Software Developement commercial skills. This was just a rather unfortunate situation for me. I am looking to seek emplyment in South Africa if I end up leaving England.

I would strongly suggest you do your research properly. SA is very expensive and jobs are hard to get even for SA citizens, that is without the crime and lack of basic service delivery and extreme corruption.

There are other countries on the African continent that would probably be much better, like Botswana or Namibia for example.
