FLR(M) Application - Questions

Post by ox25 » Sat Nov 19, 2016 9:48 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm in a tricky situation...

My husband is a business traveller and is allowed to have two valid British passports.

At the time when I'll be attending my premium service appointment he will be away from the UK.

I it OK to submit only one of his original passport and a certified copy of the second passport which he will have to take with him? One passport should suffice as a prove that he is a British citizen?

Thanks a lot in advance.

You will also need a letter from him on why he cannot attend the appointment with you and that he supports your application.

Don't complicate things, submit certified copies of his passport he is traveling on.

Thank you very much for your answer.

But there is no such requirement for a sponsor to attend the appointment as long as he supports my application by signing a declaration?

Ok, so I should be fine if I take a certified copy of the passport he is travelling on as well as his second original passport.

Old tenancy agreement and new landlord FRL (M)

Post by ox25 » Sun Nov 20, 2016 11:38 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to apply for FRL (M) shortly, but I'm puzzled with accommodation evidence.

We have a new owner of the property we are renting but the tenancy agreement shows our previous landlord's name on it.

Is it OK to submit this old tenancy agreement as it is still valid and I read that our rights remain the same even if landlord changes?

Do I need to get a no objection letter from our new landlord as our tenancy agreement is on my husband's name only? I hope discrepancy in landlord's names will not cause any issues?

Or I need to obtain permission form my previous landlord as he was aware of our situation.

I'd really appreciate your opinions on this. Thanks a lot!

As CR001 has advised, there is a requirement for your husband to attend the appointment with you, or he must provide a letter explaining his absence.

This is in addition to signing as supporting the application.
