Hi,

-I received a PR card last week.
-I'm an EEA national.
-I've been married to a British citizen for last 2 years.

Can I apply for a citizenship now? or will I need to wait another 12 months?

I'd appreciate your assistance.

Vet is not listed in list of professionals used for naturalisation which is also generally used for passports.
Is vet a director/manager of a limited company or a VAT-registered business?

If ref is unsatisfactory you would probably be invited to nominate another.

Depends if referee is not suitable or the reference is negative.

Play safe, save delays, find another ref.

Please say when you were given indefinite leave to enter / remain in the UK (not necessary if you are a Commonwealth citizen with right of abode in the United Kingdom). If you are an EEA national, a SWIS national or a family member of an EEA or Swiss national you should read pages 10 to 11 of the Booklet AN.

I read the Booklet and I'm still not sure what date to use...

Please help.

You don't have 'Indefinite Leave to Remain' which is applied for under the UK Immigration rules. PR under the EU/EEA route is automatically attained. Your DCPR is just confirmation of that.

Yes, you can and complete the relevant section of the form for EU nationals.

Suggest apply using NCS at the council, they check your form and copy your documents and give the originals back to you. They charge a small fee for this service.

And friendly NCS official may be able to call up their secret HO hotline to check what is on file in HO CID databanks for your date of acquisition of PR.
This is certainly not going to be date of issue of card which is irrelevant in context of naturalisation.

Just one more query:

When applying for a PR I evidenced 5 years with all sort of letters... Do I need to send the letters again; or do I need to evidence only time after receiving a PR card?

You need to supply all the evidence as per AN form, guide and booklet. This is not a rerun of a PR confirmation!

You need to show you have been resident in UK for 3 years and to prove you were physically present in UK 3 years before date of application (which is date of NCS interview).

All as per a section 6(2) of BNA application.
And absences must have been kept within prescribed limits too; (note different limits from EU absence rules!).

You will need proof for the last three years - note that the requirements are different, i.e. a lot of the letters used for PR aren't acceptable for the citizenship application.

I have taken the P60s from 2012/2013 onwards and my latest payslip (though wouldn't have needed that one).
