EEA family permit

don't know if anyone can help, am irish and just got married a couple of months back, my husband who is an non eu nation applied for a eea family permit last September from lagos, 30days passed and we didnt hear anything from them, only for them to contact me 2weeks ago requesting i attend an interview which i did last Wednesday. today makes it a week i attended the interview and we are yet to hear anything back from the visa section. I have a good job and provided all the documentations needed dont know if its normal from them to drag an application this long.

Are you in Ireland or in the UK?

Thanks for your reply, EEA family permit to join me in the UK, as I live and work in the uk, move down 3 years ago.
