Hi Team,
I am currently working under TIER 2 General Visa from Oct 2015. When I have applied for visa, I had paid for 3 years of visa fees and NHS surcharge for myself and my 2 dependents. I had received a valid visa until Oct 2018.
I am now changing my visa sponsorship and my new employer will be issuing me 3 years CoS from Jan 2017 till Dec 2019. We will be applying my Visa (only for now) by post, as it's within UK. My questions are:
1) To send visa application by post, I need to also provide the NHS surcharge number. Does that mean, I need to again pay new Surcharge for the new COS period and later claim back the existing NHS surcharge paid for first visa (once I have new visa).
2) I had paid NHS Surcharge for 3 years and this was applicable annually as £200. Now I am already into 1 year and 3 months, will I only get back NHS Surcharge for 1 year only or it would be calculated by immigration team on the amount of time I have used on the surcharge?
3) My dependents (Spouse & Daughter) have dependent visa on me until Oct 2018. Even though I am changing my visa, I believe they don't need to re-apply as they are dependent on me and not on my first employer. Their NHS surcharge paid will remain valid on their application. The need to only apply for extension near to Sept-Oct of 2018, when their visa's are expiring. They can also travel in or out of UK multiple times (as visa is multiple entry) during this period.
Is my understanding correct?
4) Assuming, If my new employer issues me a COS which is lesser than Oct 2018, in that case does my dependent need to reapply as their duration of staying until Oct 2018 won't be valid anymore
5) My plan is to only resign once I have approved visa, as COS is not guarantee of visa. If by any chance my new Visa application is rejected, will my existing visa will with current employee will be valid and I don't need to re-apply?
Regards.
