tier 2 dependent urgent question

i am already on tier2 visa and my wife is on tier2 dependent on me
i am planning to apply for new visa as i got new cos with another employer
i have 2 questions :
which type of tier2 visa i need
can i apply first and after i got the visa , my wife apply for dependent visa after me , as she had an exam and need the original passport with her and we cannot afford to apply for same day visa

considering that we both now in the uk

Surely you should know that it is Tier 2 General

thank u for ur answer , of course i know it is general tier2 , but i meant which type of application new or extension , also my visa expires in april , but when i will apply to new one , what will be my wife's situation
should she apply with me as dependent ,or can she apply after i get it by 3 weeks

Hi,

As you are changing employer then it will be a new Tier 2 application (not extension).

Your wife can apply later any time before her current leave expires provided you have received your approval letter before her visa expires.

She can apply later, all technically correct but I still wouldn't risk it.
Always best to have both visas in sync.

If yours is delayed and not processed by April for any reason (hopefully not), she will have to leave before she can apply for a new one from your home country.

£500 is a lot of money, but it can save you both time and money (and anxiety) if you apply in person.

my cos is without maintenance , and my bank account was less than limit in the last month so i cant use it

my question is : can one of my friends with sufficient savings in his bank account in the last 3 months provide me with letter for maintenance or not ?
