Delay in naturalization application

Post by december00 » Mon Dec 12, 2016 10:57 pm

My husband applied for naturalization in october 2015....we were sent the standard letter after 6 months were over..havent had any correspondence since then....the wait is quite stressful...

What kind of checks are they doing is beyond our comprehension?

Do people get approval after delay in application or should we lose hope?

It doesn't take a year's worth of effort to process, what you're seeing is elapsed time.

Some applicants have been waiting since early 2015.
You can track other members' experiences on the timeline thread.
Your mileage may vary ofcourse.

It may well be worth enlisting your MP's help in getting a progress report from the Home Office.
(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
