Long Residence Inquiry

Post by coolcamden » Thu Dec 15, 2016 1:40 pm

Dear Moderators,

First of all I would like to thank you for the amazing job you guys doing.
I am going to apply mine ILR on the basis of Long Residence.

My details are:

Feb 2007 to Oct 2012: Student (Tier 4)
Oct 2012 to Oct 2014: PSW ( Tier 1)
Oct 2014 to Oct 2017: Tier 2 General

Now next month I am completing my 10 years here in UK and I am going to apply ILR.
My question is when my PSW visa was going to expire , I opened a company and registered with companies house. I was the only director of my company.
I opened the company because I was going to apply for a Entrepreneur Visa, as my PSW visa was going to expire, Fortunately I got a job offer from a Company and they sponsor me under their Tier2 License. So after PSW visa my Tier 2 Visa was granted. I didn't run that company which I opened it was just registered with comapnies house. I didn't do any Single penny business with that company, and I strike off my company from companies house while on Tier 2 Visa.
Now should I mention in my ILR and I didn't do any self assessment, because I am on PAYE under Tier 2.

Many Thanks
Coolcamden

There are few things more I want to ask.

First:- I got my Masters Degree from UK University, So do I need to get confirmed with UK NARIC, that my study was taught in English or I just submit my Original Masters Degree with the application?

Second:- As I mentioned earlier that I open a company and close it later on. Will there be any Tax issue. In last 10 years either I was a student or doing job (PAYE). Will they ask me why I didn't do any self assessment for the company I open.

Many thanks Vinny for clearing my doubts on UK NARIC.
I would like to request other members of this forum, if they can help me on my second query.

Dear Members,

I booked my PEO appointment next month. My Question is if Home Office ask me 'Have you ever been Self employed" what answer should I gave, as in last 10 years I am on PAYE, but in between I open a company and without doing any business, I strike it off.

Thanks
