She was granted a fiance visa , we got married, now what?

Post by morphine50 » Sun Dec 25, 2016 3:17 pm

My wife was granted a 6 month fiance visa from india to the uk in August.
We got married in the UK , but now her entry clearance is due to expire in feb 2017

What would be the next step? Would we have to do a FLR M visa extension?

If so, it asks for 6 letters of correspondence, which I am finding difficult to obtain.

FLR (M) is correct. She must apply before her current visa expires.

The cohabitation evidence is not required for fiance visa to spouse visa.

Yes, payslips and bank statements are mandatory as well as employment letter and contract. English A1 also.

If you have any cohabitation documents you can submit it, tenancy agreement or landlord letter and anything spouse has in their name or jointly with you.

Don't forget to pay the £500 immigration health surcharge too.

I have been unable to get any documents with both our names on it , however I have 3 letters with her name only and our address (GP, bill, electoral vote)- is this sufficient

I have paid the health surcharge on the fiance visa already.

That'll be fine.

You shouldn't have paid the NHS surcharge on a fiance visa.

IHS for Wife and children born abroad

Post by Navi123 » Mon Dec 26, 2016 10:27 pm

Hi Guys,

I would appreciate if some one can point me in the right direction asap.

I'm a British citizen (10 yrs ilr) and my mrs and two children (born Abroad) living with me for last 6 years. Their last visa was on family life due to some complications on FLRM.

I want to apply their visa on FLR M (spouse of a settled person) but not sure why I have to pay IHS for my dependent kids as im a Uk citizen now?

If I have to pay for their IHS (£1500+2433 app fees) then what should I select on Visa Type and Visa Route?

if I select FLR on Visa type then what should I select for Visa Route as I don't see anything like Settled person etc. except Long residency-LR or Family and Private life.

regards
