ILR for Dependent Child (Both parents already Holding ILR)

Post by tier1_king » Tue Dec 27, 2016 11:00 pm

Hi,

My wife and I got ILR on Apr 2015.

We have a daughter who is currently on Tier 1 dependent visa which is until valid until April 2017. We did not apply ILR for our daughter in 2015 because we were thinking of applying British Citizenship for her after our ILR. However we have decided to not take British citizen for her and now decided to go with ILR for her.

My question is when I apply for ILR for my daughter now, should I go ahead and prove my points again (age, degree, earnings, english language, LUK test, etc.) or is it a straight forward & easier application. Please help or point me to any threads with similar case, I could not find any information on a quick search.

Not many such threads, you would need to do a detailed or advance search.

To tier1_king

You have to call HO to get the answer as i remember , they do ask you at the time of application (ILR) what you will do with the child application ( go for ILR now or apply BC ). Most of us including me answered, will apply for the passport after registering the child .
Thanks

Ali

Thanks CR001/ aliq09 for the responses , much appreciated ..

@aliq09 - We were not asked that question when we applied for ILR.
Are you saying we should call Home Office now to ask about what documents i should submit for my daughter's application ?
Is not there clear answer to the amount of documents while applying late for children a little late ? Please let me know

Child can apply on Set(O) or on Set(F). Suggest read the guidance notes for each to understand what is required.

For Set(O), likely birth cert, proof of your ILR, etc.
