You will need to provide more information.

What is the current immigration status of the mother and child?

Where was the child born?

What is the current visa status of the child?

The 7 year child rule was changed significantly in 2012 and no longer leads to ILR for either the child or the parent directly.

The 7 year children rule now only allows for FLR(FP) to be issued to the child if it can be proven that it would be unreasonable for the child to leave the UK. Why would it be unreasonable for the child in question to leave the UK?
Immigration Rule 276ADE (iv) wrote: 276ADE (1). The requirements to be met by an applicant for leave to remain on the grounds of private life in the UK are that at the date of application, the applicant:...
(iv) is under the age of 18 years and has lived continuously in the UK for at least 7 years (discounting any period of imprisonment) and it would not be reasonable to expect the applicant to leave the UK;
In addition to CR001's questions, what are the immigration statuses of both parent and the child currently?

Efforts to regularise in past 7 years?
Any British connection whatsoever?
Other parent?
How do you support yourself and child?
Any reason you do not/cannot return 'home'?

There is no 'fill in this form and everything will suddenly be ok'.

How old is the child?

What visa did you and child enter the UK with and when did you enter the UK?

You cannot expect anyone to offer advice (for free in our own time) if you don't provide proper and more information on your history and situation. We cannot guess.

If a child is completing 7 years in UK, what type of visa we can apply for. I have read they will get a further leave to remain 30 months visa. So my question is for what visa parents can apply and whether we will get the documents back from home office after getting leave? Will we be able to travel outside uk? I assume for ILR we will have to wait 3 more years to make a 10 year route..Is that correct? Please clarify..
.Many Thanks

@sahni, you have confused issue by tagging onto someone else's topic instead of asking own question in own topic.

Oh sorry for that..
I will ask a general question.
If a child get Further leave to remain for 30 months (therefore parents too), will the held documents and passport be given back? Can they travel outside uk?

Please don't ask a question here, it's not a general discussion thread. Continue to post in your own thread to avoid more confusion. :!:

Post now well and truly hijacked.

@ sahni, kindly get up to speed with Board T&Cs and modus operandi.
You already have your own long-running topic that's receiving responses and you will get nothing but monosyllables from OP here.

Due to lack of input from OP giving up as lost cause.
