RLMT requirement while applying for Tier2 extension

Post by scher » Wed Dec 28, 2016 6:23 pm

Hi gurus,
I did come to uk on 13/09/2009 for my masters, have finished it, got psw visa from apr2012 to apr2014.I got Permanent job as a 'web based software developer' for nhs and I have applied for tier2 general visa on Jan2014 (with soc code 2137 ,my salary was 21,300 ).Then I got my Tier2general visa from 24/01/2014 TO 14/04/ 2017.
My current salary is 25,500 and I am in the same job with the same employer..In order to extend my visa for next 3 years as my visa is going to expire on 14/4/2017, my company HR applied for unrestrcited COS but with wrong soc code 2136 and wrong job title and they have forwarded me that COS number.
I have realised that they have applied to unrestricted cos with wrong soc code, hence I have requested HR to cancel the COS and then apply for the new COS. Then again HR applied to unrestricted COS with the information as mentioned below
SOC CODE: 2137,
job title as WEB BASED SOFTWARE DEVELOPER.
Current salary: £25,500 p/a ( 37.5 perweek)
Job start date: 15/4/2017
Job End date: 15/4/2020
IS the current job under shortage occupication list: No
Is Resident Labour Market Test done? : No
HR applied to new cos with the information on 22/12/2016 as above and they have send me the new COS number on 22/12/2016 it self ie same day.
Now I am going to apply for tier 2 general extension along with my wife. I would like to know that

1) Do I need to go through Resident Labour Market Test ???

Please advice me on this...
Thanks and Regards,
Scher

If it's an extension application under the same employer and same SOC code, then RLMT is not required.

Hi Moonlight55,
Thanks a lot for your quick reply, I am going to extend my visa along with my wife as her visa is also going to expire on 14/4/2017..

1)I have found this link to fill the application on line as given below
https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/extend-your-visa

is this is the correct link to fill the application online, if so can I use this single form to process myne and my wife's visa

2) I am planning to go to Priority service so may i know how much it would cost in total for me and my wife using the above single form

Thanks and Regards,
scher

Yes, this is the right place to start. All your queries are answered in the link your mentioned. The URL for online application is also mentioned there. Once you create your online profile, you will have the option to create yours and your dependent's application.

Hi MoonLight,
I filled the application for extending myne and my wife's visa at the same time under tier 2 category by going through the above link. I have booked the premium service appointment on coming 18/1/2017.
While I have gone through the NHS surcharge payment process, System have shown the fee to be paid for myself and for my wife as 1400 instead of 1200 ie as I am applying for 3 years visa 600 pounds for me and 600 pounds for my wife.. I have paid 1400 pounds and finished the rest of the application.
Now could you please suggest me that did they charge me extra 200 pounds ie 1400 pounds instead of 1200 pounds..if so could you pls suggest me the process to claim the money back..

Thanks and Regards,
scher.

Work Start Date to enter while paying for IHS for Tier2G ext

Post by scher » Sun Jan 08, 2017 5:42 pm

Hi Gurus,

I am applying for Tier 2 general extension with the same employer, previously I switched from psw visa to Tier 2 general visa.

1)Employee start date 17/11/2013( this is the actual start date when i have started working with my employer)
2) got Tier 2 general Visa from 24/1/2014 to 14/4/2017
3)HR applied to unrestricted cos with employee start date as 14/4/2017 and end date as 13/4/2020

While paying for IHS , I have entered employee start date as 17/11/2013 hence ended in paying 700 pounds for 3 years visa...

Now I would like to clarify that did i enter the incorrect employee start date ie 17/11/2013 instead of 14/4/2017 ...if so is it going to be a problem during the visa processing as i have booked premium service appoitnment on 18/1/2017..also how can i claim the extra 100 pounds i have paid..

Thanks and Regards,
scher.

because the start date is 15/4/17 and end date is 15/4/20, it is effectively taking u over the 3 year mark by a day. It should have been 14/4/20, and then u would have saved 100 each for next 6 months.

Hi iworker,
Thanks for getting back to me i have mentioned incorrect details in my above post regarding employee start date but i have entered employee start date as 17/11/2013( this is the actual start date when i have started working with my employer) while paying for IHS fee.. hence ended in paying 700 pounds for 3 years visa...

Now I would like to clarify that did i enter the incorrect employee start date ie 17/11/2013 instead of 14/4/2017( this is the date HR entered while applying for unrestricted COS last month ie on 22/12/2016) ...if so is it going to be a problem during the visa processing as i have booked premium service appoitnment on 18/1/2017..also how can i claim the extra 100 pounds i have paid..

Thanks and Regards,
scher.
