Entry limit

Post by jm23 » Mon Jan 09, 2017 2:12 pm

Hi,

Is there still a 30 day entry limit once the spouse visa has been issued, so do you have to be in the UK within 30 days or can you postpone it for a month or two?

We are planning on get married in March, well doing the legal stuff anyways and in August/September doing the party/functions, the plan is to apply for the visa before August so she can come back with us, I'm just trying to work out when we should put the application in and how much time we would have, would the advise be to apply for the visa within 3 months of when we attend to travel back to the UK?

Thank You

Yes, the entry vignette is only valid for 30 days. You can ask UKVI to postdate the visa, but they often ignore such requests.
