Tier 2 dependent 180 Rule outside UK

Hi there,
I am on Tier 2(General) visa as I have a quick Question regarding staying dependant outside UK

As my wife did stay in India (outside UK) about 138 days (110 days in year 3 and 28 days in year 4) .
Will that be a problem when she goes for ILR Visa?

Please let me know if anyone got any idea about this. Much appreciated your information

No it won't.

The 180 days per 12 months cycle ruled does not apply to PBS Dependents although absences should be limited and for good reason.

Hi friends,
I have few Questions regarding further extension of my wife visa.

I am on Tier 2 General Visa at the moment, mine and my wife visa expires on 18th Of May 2017

By 5th of May 2017 it will be 5 years on Tier 2 General that means I can apply for ILR 28 days before.

Here my Question is what type of extension my wife needs to go for ILR dependant or any other type of extension ?

Explained below my wife visa dates and other details.

1) My wife got first Tier 2 dependant visa stamp ---on 7th August 2012
2) Tier 2 Dependant visa expire ---on 18th of May 2017 (same as mine)
3) As she can apply for ILR ---before 28 days or on 7th August 2017

But she needs to apply for extension for 2 months.

what type of extension she needs to go for ? I mean before applying extension for her I will get ILR that means does she need to apply for ILR dependant visa or any other type of extension ?

Can anyone please guide me in right direction.

By the time I will be on ILR visa how come she can apply for Tier 2 dependant extension as the main applicant will not be on Tier 2 after got ILR. Will be great if you able to clarify me.

Because the rules permit it. She will get an extension for 3 years.

Can we use that NARIC certificate for her ILR ? also do we need a letter from the college (saying taught in english ) ?

Hi there,
Just want to get bit of clarity on Tier 2 dependent 180 days rule


My wife first Tier 2 dependant visa got on 11th Of September 2012


As my wife did stay in India (outside UK) about 148 days (between 16th Sept 2016 to 8th Feb 2017)
and also stayed outside about 71 days (between Jan 2014 to March 2014)

Will that be a problem when she goes for ILR Visa?

Hi there,
I am planning to apply for ILR visa for wife as she studied in India

We did bring the letter from college few months back it says taught in English all the courses. Now we need to apply for NARIC letter not sure what letter we need to request from NARIC. Please let me know what we need to apply from NARIC from below list
1.Statement of Comparability
2.English Language Assessment
3.Statement of Comparability for Construction Skills including Primary Source Verification of qualification
