I am applying ILR based on my date of issue of entry clearance. I saw below in the document Indefinite leave to remain: calculating continuous period in UK
I have 129 days between the entry clearance issue date and date of actual entry.Period between the issue of entry clearance and entering the UK
The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period. Any absences between the date of issue and entry to the UK are considered an allowable absence. This period will count towards the 180 days allowable absence in the relevant 12 month period. The applicant does not need to provide evidence to demonstrate the reason for delayed entry.
If the delay is more than 180 days, you can only include time after the applicant entered the UK in the continuous period calculation.
While filling SET (O), I can't find any place in the form where I can enter the date of visa issue. The only place I can possibly enter the date of issue of entry clearance is section 6.1. If I need to enter the actual date of entry in section 6.1, I don't have any other way to show the case worker that I am applying 129 days before completion of 5 year stay in UK, because of above reason. Do I need to write a cover letter to cover this?
Another possibility is section 6.2 where I can show the days between the entry clearance issue date and date of actual entry, as an absence from the country, but that question is based on the answer from 6.1.
Any help will be much appreciated.
