Tier 2 ILR Complete - Question about Dependents

Post by mhraja » Wed Jan 18, 2017 11:57 am

Hi All, yesterday my ILR have been approved. Thank you to everyone on the forum who supported me with the questions throughout application process. I will try to help people on this forum with my experience as well.

I have questions about my dependents

Wife: She is currently on Tier 2 Dependent Visa (valid until 24/12/2017). At the end of her visa she will only complete 2 years and 5 months and will not be eligible for ILR. Shall I apply for PBS dependent extension for her?

Daughter: She was born in UK this July (6 months old) is on Tier 2 Dependent Visa (valid until 24/12/2017). Can I apply for her ILR now?

Many thanks in advance for your help.

Apply to extend her PBS Dependent visa. The extension will be for 3 years.

You can register your daughter as British now if you wish to, she does not require ILR as she is UK born and is entitled to registered as British.
