What is the basis for your JR?

What is your immigration history and reasons for refusal of whatever you applied for?

You should provide the link to this case if you are expecting to use it or claim to be in a similar situation. Members should not have to search for the information to understand the 'similarities'. If you provide skeleton information on your circumstances, not many will be able to provide constructive advice.

How old are you?

The links relate to a naturalised British parent and a British National (Overseas) parent who registered under 4B of the BNA

You state you parent is a BOC, which is different.

BOC have very few 'rights' . Not sure if a BOC can even sponsor family on the settlement visa route as BOC does not have right of abode.

https://www.gov.uk/types-of-british-nat ... as-citizen
Rights as a British overseas citizen
You can:

hold a British passport
get consular assistance and protection from UK diplomatic posts
Unless you’re also a British citizen:

you’re still subject to immigration controls - you don’t have the automatic right to live or work in the UK
you aren’t considered a UK national by the European Union (EU)

You don't have access to PM. Not sure if you can PM a moderator though but please take note of my big red statement in my signature.

Always best to post in public so that others who also have knowledge can check, correct or validate any information or advice given.

You are missing a key point here. The appellants mother had registered as a full British Citizen and was not a BOC at the time of the settlement visa application.
On 27th July 1998 the Appellant's mother obtained her British overseas citizen passport. In August 2003 the sponsor applied for a British passport. She was registered as a British citizen with full rights on 9th September 2003.
Did your mother qualify to register as a full BC and did she do this and is now no longer a BOC passport holder?

It is not the same. NV mother had a full British citizenship passport after registering as a full British citizen. She did not hold a BOC at the time of the settlement visa application.
