HELP
I am about to apply for a NTL stamp and biometrics card in person as I have indefinite leave stamp but it is in my expired passport. I have two questions in which I cannot find any answers to on the home office or GOV site.
1: Do they put the NTL stamp in the current passport and if so, what happens when that passport expires? Or is it a separate form? Does one need to apply for the stamp again and pay the 308 pounds?
I ask as my passport expires in 2 years and it may be better for me to buy a new passport.
2: I am a New Zealand citizen but have been married to my husband for 17 years. I am trying to work out if I am exempt or not from paying the IHS as the information is not very clear. One part say " For immigration applications made from within the UK, you’ll have to pay if:
you’re a national of a country outside the EEA " and then says next paragraph "You don’t need to get an IHS reference number or pay the healthcare surcharge if: you’re a family member of a European national with European Union treaty rights " ???? Please advise.
I have only just found out I need this stamp and I urgently need to start work so will be going in person to apply for this stamp, but I cant find any phone number to call to find these answers out.
Please if you can help me as soon as possible as I need to book a slot next week.
Thank you for anybodys help in advance.
Kind Regards
Bronwyn
