Tier 2 general partner visa

Post by Esabir » Thu Jan 26, 2017 6:04 am

Hello all,

I need an assistance. My sister got married back in 2014 and her spouse was on Work Visa in UK so she applied for a Tier 2 Partner Visa which she got and then she shifted to UK with her husband. Now after having a baby she came to Pakistan to spend some time with her family and she is here since May 2016 means its been total 8 months that she is living in Pakistan. Her Spouse visa is getting expired on 7th March. I want to know that can she renew her visa from Pakistan or she has to visit to UK? If she visits to UK on 1st of March then would there be any problem or not? Because currently due to some illness of her baby she cannot travel immediately and we want her to stay here up til her baby got better. Need help and advice in this regard.

She cannot renew a visa outside the UK. From Pakistan it is a new entry clearance visa.

She can travel to the UK as long as she has a valid visa.

Also, the rules have recently changed regarding absence limit for PBS dependents and any absence of 180 days or more breaks continuity of residence.
