Hi All,
My wife and Son got ILR Dependent visa in Dec'14 for 2.5 years. Now we need to apply for extension.
Question is how long the ILR dependent extension visa duration is provided by UKBA. I hope it's for 2.5 years, so by Dec'19 can apply for ILR application.
Any one have idea, please help.

Surely an extension is only due in May/June if they got their visa in December 2014?? Too early to apply now.
Yes, it will be for 2.5 years. Don't forget to pay the immigration health surcharge of £500 each.

Thanks CR001. My brother is getting married (India and have travel plan) in May'16 and if we can get 3 years extension then planned to apply for my wife and son ILR dependent extension in Apr'16 itself. If only we get 2.5 years extension then need to skip brother marriage
Is any chance to get 3 years extension?

There is no '3 year' extension option for a spouse visa. This is ONLY possible IF they were PBS dependents.
When does the current spouse visa expire?

Thanks CR001 for quick response.
My wife and Son ILR dependent Visa is valid till 9-Jun-17.
I have another question,
1. My son is going to be in India for 1 year after his ILR dependent 1st extension in May/Jun'17. If i calculate overall he will be crossing >450 days outside UK in 5 years period between Dec'14 and Dec'19. Will it create problem when applying for ILR in Dec'19 for my son (my wife ILR application will be fine as she will be meeting all criteria)

My wife and Son ILR dependent Visa is valid till 9-Jun-17. If you apply too early, it will create a shortfall later and require another FLR(M) extension to cover the shortfall close to ILR time. You can also apply in person. How long do you/spouse plan on being out of the UK for a wedding?

You are confusing adult naturalisation absence with ILR.

Thanks CR001.
We planned to apply for ILR Dependent extension in Mar'17 assuming will get 3 yrs extension. On receiving Visa, My wife and son planned to go to India 1-Apr-17 for marriage and leave my son for 1 year and only my wife return by 31-May.
Thanks for clarifying that i got confused with adult "vacation" criteria for my son
Based on the details you helped, Below is the option i have. Please correct if i am wrong
My wife and son plan to go to India in Apr'17 and return in May'17 and apply for ILR dependent visa extension 1st week of Jun'17 through in-person and pay NHS changes. Need to spend quite lot of money.
After getting the Visa and plan for another trip and drop my son for 1 year. Apply for ILR in Dec'19 for both my wife and son together
Please let know which form i need to apply for ILR dependent extension. My understanding is FLR (M) extension under 5 year route correct?

Assuming that child was born abroad, the UK immigration status of children born abroad is in-line with that of the less-privileged parent.
So long as your wife has the ILR dependent status, your son will get it as well.
Have you considered asking your brother and family to postpone the wedding by a month or so?

Hi Simon, that was my another question. Now I am on ILR for last 2.5 years, can i apply my Son ILR separately or need to process along with my wife in Dec'19 (my son born in India). Currently my wife and son are in ILR dependent visa from Dec'14. Unfortunately i lost one year based on one solicitor suggestion and applied ILR dependent otherwise would have saved 1.5 years with PBS dependent visa.
In discussion with my parents of moving but waiting for this clarity.
Also can you help which form I need to use for ILR dependent visa extension please.

ILR for son with wife when she becomes eligible. Period of your ILR is irrelevant.
Son could have been registered as a British citizen if born in the UK.

Thanks CR001 and Simon.
One final question. If I received British citizenship, then can i apply for my son as well or need to go through ILR route along with my wife in Dec'19 please.

No, you can't. Your son will follow the same path as your wife and will also require ILR before being eligible to apply for citizenship.
