Knowledge of English - Visa for husband

Post by cmu » Mon Feb 06, 2017 1:49 pm

Dear all,

I have a quick query.

I will apply spouse visa in March.

However I am lost a little bit regarding knowledge of English.

I have a degree in Turkey that was taught in Turkish. Then I did masters in London, UK that was taught in English.

On the government website it says,
"Alternatively, you can give evidence that you have an academic qualification that both:
- was taught or researched in English
- is recognised by UK NARIC as equivalent to a bachelor’s or master’s degree or PhD"

So do I need to get confirmation of my masters certificate from UK NARIC ?

I do not think I need confirmation because I got my masters degree in the UK.

Can you give advise about that please?

Thanks in advance,

A UK issued degree is sufficient to meet the English requirement.
