Visa sponsorship requirements

Post by Hawki76 » Fri Feb 10, 2017 10:02 am

Hi
I need some advise as I am currently in the process of sponsoring my sons friend to visit the UK from the Ukraine, I have sent letter of Invitation and sent the SU07/12 to say that I am happy to sponsor them and that they will staying with my wife and I at our family home. I also sent a signed letter written from my building society explaining that I have paid my mortgage off and that I have sufficient means of support and savings, without disclosing too many details.

I have since been told, that in order to process there application, I need to send copy of my property deeds, and that I need to send my account statements for past 6 months and also proof of my savings.

I can understand if they were staying here on a permanent basis, but its only for 2 weeks in June, they have a child in Ukraine, so intend to return back as my son will be travelling back with them to spend the summer, as he has done for past 2 years.

Is this correct for being a sponsor or out they requesting too much information??/

I am a little confused and cannot find any real help on any website for being the sponsor.

Any help will be appreciated.

regards

SU07 is NOT required for a visitor visa.

If you are sponsoring a visit, you need to provide evidence that you can accommodate/support the applicant.

What evidence is the 'friend' submitting to prove they will leave the UK after their visit and what strong ties they have to their home country?

Is this your son's partner or just a friend?

Why isn't son sponsoring the visa?
