Confusion about Continuous Residence

Hi Gurus / Admins,

Needed your guidance if possible,

Current Scenario:
- I entered UK on 20 April 2012.
- I have got T1 General Visa validity till 26 March 2018 due to extensions
- Based on the 28 days Rule, I believe, I am eligible for my ILR on 24-March-2017.
- Due to Sad demise of my father I had to leave UK on 23-Jan-2017 returning on 9th Feb-2017.

Query:
1- Is there any rule which my disallow me for my ILR to apply on 24-March-2017, as I had been out of the country for past 17 days.

2- I was told by one of my friends that you need to be in UK for atleast 90 consecutive days (3 months) before ILR. Can anybody kindly confirm if that is correct?

No, there is no such rule.

On the same subject, May I ask you another query and please forgive my ignorance for that matter.

Let's say a person lands only a day before the ILR and he has not ellapsed the 180 day absense rule / year. Would he still be fine to go for the ILR?

Yes, as long as the person is within the absence limit. Although expect a difficult time if your visa is expiry almost at the same time (as a member found out a couple of years ago when he was returned to his home country).

There is no rule or restriction on traveling 90 days preceding an ILR application.
