Yes, there will be problems, the visa is max. 6 months in every 12, irrespective of length, be it 2, 5 or 10 years.tomdavis wrote:I am living in Uk from last many years. I am British now. My parents come every year on six months visa. But last year they applied for 2 year visa so that not to apply again and again.
They came last year on 10 August 2016 and went back to our country on 10 Jan 2017. I have booked their tickets for 20 feb 2017 to join me back again .
Heard from some people that family members can only stay till 6 months in uk in a one calendar year.
I am worried now. I have booked the tickets and they haven't completed 6 months stay outside uk.
They went back to our country in jan 2017 and now coming back again to uk next week. Will airport officials not allow them to enter uk? They hv two years visa. Plz help.

They should not be spending more time in the UK than they do in their home country.
A 2 year visit visa does not mean that they can stay for two years and pop in and out every couple of weeks for 6 months at a time.
On their application for the 2 year visa, how long did they state they were going to visit the UK for? Did they state they were staying for the full 180 days?
Cancel the trip.tomdavis wrote:CR001 wrote:How long are they planning to stay on the next visit?

They did not say they would stay for full 180 days. Wats shall they do?

No, they never used any free services. Can my father visit us alone? As he is coming to U.K. after a long time.[/quote]tomdavis wrote:I hope that they are not and have not utilised free NHS services and are paying the 150% cost of EVERYTHING they might need to use, including GP, medicines etc.

Also staying for extended periods on any visit visa is frowned upon, 6 months is not a visit, it's residency.
Expect a rough ride and a probable bounce.
