ILR App Student visa + Ancestry Visa

HI there,

I want to apply for ILR. But i do not have a straight forward app.

Arrived Sept 2011- on student visa expire jan 2013.
Left dec 2012- Apr 2013 (108 days) to get a UK Ancestry visa
April 2013- present time in the UK

Therefore I have been in the UK from my original date 5 yrs 5 months. But on two different visa's.

Can I apply for ILR now?

No you cannot. Student visas can only be used for ILR under the 10 years long residence route.

You need 5 years on Ancestry visa to qualify for ILR, which will be April 2018.
