No, you cannot apply directly for a passport as child is not British yet.

You must register the child on form MN1 as a British citizen first. Cost is £936 at present (goes up in April) and can take a few months.

Hi, I am on the same boat. Tried to find some information only but somehow found it really hard to get some straight answers.

Can anyone help with a list of documents that are needed to be submitted together with MN1 form.

Did anyone had the experience and how long did he take to get british citizenship?

Thank you

(Casa, not CR001)
Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

If kid was born in the UK, then yes.
