Tier 2 ICT Dependent to Tier 2 General Visa

Hi All,

I am currently in UK as ICT Tier 2 Dependent, I would be working for A - Rated visa sponsor. We intend to convert my tier 2 Dependent visa to tier 2 General Visa. I had a few questions for the same ?

A. Can I convert the visa from within UK or I would have to apply from my home country ?
B. I have been in UK over the last two years on ICT Tier 2 Short Term Visa first and ICT Tier 2 Dependent, would this visa conversion make any impact on ILR Application after 5 years ? Or I can continue on the Tier 2 Visa for next 3 years & then apply for ILR.

A. Apply from home country.

B. You need 5 years on tier 2 general to qualify for ILR. You cannot combine the two different categories to make up 5 years.
