ILR Dependant Absences

Post by Seto » Tue Feb 21, 2017 10:32 pm

Hi guys,

I have few questions regarding ILR which I am going to apply with my husband;

1. We both got Tier 2 Visa on 02 May 2012, from which date we are qualified to apply on the basis of 28 days rule, I will be thankful if you can calculate for me please as bit confuse to get exact start date?

2. Do I need to fill Set(o) form as well (1 for me and 1 for husband) although I am Tier 2 dependant at the moment?

3. Do I need to provide absences record as well inline with husband's absences, but I am not doing any job?

4. Absences record means absences from outside of UK?

Thank you

Regards
Sehish

1. Just count 28 days backwards on a calendar from 2nd May. You can apply any time WITHIN 28 days. It does not have to be on exactly the 28th day before.

2. One form for both of you together.

3. No

4. Yes, but you don't count the day of departure from the UK and the date of arriving back in the UK.

If a dependent does not need provide abscences does that mean they have not abscence limits (e.g. no 180 day rule?)

Thank you CR001 for coming back

As it is highly expected increase in ILR fee, so we are planning to book appointment for 04/04/17 so that's why we are curious could someone help us to get date on the basis of 02/05/2012?

Thanks

regards

Really, just count backwards 28 days from 2nd May.

There is a 180 day absence limit breaks continuity of residence for PBS dependents but the form as far as I recall, does not ask for PBS dependents to list their absences when applying with main applicant.
