Can you transfer Tier 2 visa to new employer?

Post by fannymilla » Thu Mar 02, 2017 12:32 pm

Hello there,

I have a Tier 2 (general) visa from current employer. It was issued in 2015 and expire in 2020. I now have a contract from another firm in London and were thinking of transferring my visa to the new employer, now that there are 3 years left, and then I do not have to go through the process again. Would be very helpful if anybody could help :) Thanks a lot in advance!

You can transfer the visa but a fresh Rmlt, cos and application would still be needed.

You cannot transfer your visa to a new employer.

The new employer MUST be a licensed sponsor and complete the full and proper RLMT process BEFORE the can offer you a job and a CoS. You will have to apply for a new Tier 2 General visa.
