IRL for a child of EEA national

I got stuck at the first page of MN1 form, would anyone kindly give me some advice?

After almost 10 years of living in the UK, me and my husband - both EEA nationals - have recently applied for PR. Our applications came through quite fast, we have received our PRs stating we are resident since April and October 2013. Now that we have the settled status, we wanted to apply for BC for both our kids - one born in Sept 2009 and another one in Aug 2012, both in the UK. Both have nationality and passports from another EEA country right now.
Now the form MN1 asks if and when the child was given ILR and to ensure that they qualify for permanent residence. Should I enter the date when we, as parents, were given IRL? Or since the kids were born in the UK - their dates of birth? Or does only the older one have IRL since his 5th birthday, but the younger needs to wait till he's five? Also, do I need to apply on another form to have their residency confirmed before I put any dates on the MN1 form?

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Not relevant to UK born children. Leave it blank. You don't have ILR (UK immigration route), you have PR.

UK born children are entitled to register and do not require settled status to apply for citizenship.

Another question... The guide to this form seems to either be out of date or is simply misleading.
So the guide says that Section 3 of the form only applies if the application is for a child born abroad, to parents who are British citizens by descent - which doesn't apply to us. It tells us to skip to Section 4.
But points 3.13 - 3.15 refer to a parent who is an EEA national and ask for ways in which the parent exercised treaty rights, WRS registration and employment details. Should I skip it as the guide says, or fill in?

Can you also advise on Section 6 - Biometric enrolment? Is this compulsory for EEA nationals? Post Office says you only need it if you are a foreign national from outside the European Economic Area. Then again, the MN1 form says that anyone applying for naturalisation/registration must register their biometric information, so I'm confused.
Post Office also says that they need a letter from UK Borders Agency with a bar code on it, otherwise they can't process the application.

Yes, all applicants regardless of nationality, must enroll biometrics for their citizenship application.

Once you have submitted the application, it will take a couple of weeks to receive the letter from HO which has a barcode specific to the applicants details. You take the letter to the PO and do the biometrics and they get sent to HO electronically by PO.
