Spouse visa refused, reapplying

Post by u2ali » Fri Mar 03, 2017 5:16 pm

I applied for my wife's visa but it has been refused because apparently I didn't send them my 6 months wage slips even though I sent it and they returned all 6 it with acknowledgement letter saying they have copied all of the documents.
They also said that the employer's letter didn't meet all their requirements. I think only thing missing in the letter was the permanent nature of the employment and for that I provided my employment contract highlighting relevant things.

What I have done now is, I have written to them at their UKVI Sheffield office with refusal letter and addressing their refusal points. I have also sent my 6 months payslips explaining that I had sent them originally. I also mentioned my contract and sent another letter from my employer that states the permanent nature of my employment.

Question 1: Any ideas if this could work or something like this has worked before?

Other 2 options I have are to appeal or re apply.

With appeal I have heard it takes a very long time.

However on the appeal letter it says that you are strongly advised to complete all sections of the form and submit all the relevant document with your Notice of Appeal, as it may be possible to resolve the points at issue without an appeal hearing.

Question 2: If I appeal, and as they says "it may be possible to resolve the points at issue without an appeal hearing" how long would it take for them to decide? Its mentioned 28 days by someone. Anyone has any experience?

Question 3: If I appeal and they decide for an appeal hearing, is it possible to withdraw that knowing hearing will take a while and re apply?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

Can you kindly refrain from tagging questions onto old topic (one from 2015 and one from 2011). I have removed these posts and have also split your question to its own topic.
