Documents for spouse application

Post by pt100 » Mon Mar 06, 2017 11:44 am

Hello all

I got ILR through the Tier1G route in Dec 2015. I am looking to apply for visas for my wife and daughter. Please can you confirm the following:

- for my wife and daughter's appointment in India, they will only need to submit a print of the online application form, two UK visa photographs each and their passport (apart from the biometrics).
- when sending documents to Sheffield, I need to submit all the supporting documents, two photocopies of every document submitted as proof (if I am looking to get the original document back), Appendix 2 signed, the Sponsorship form and an envelop to return everything.

Any first hand experience of the Mumbai North center for spouse visa applications?

Look forward to hearing from you

Kind regards,

Prashant

Many thanks for your reply. Actually I had copied this text from your previous post - as I thought this was as comprehensive as one can get!

Any advice on what my wife will need to take with her for the appointment in Mumbai? - now that supporting documents are to be sent to Sheffield directly

Do we have to send two photocopies of every sheet of evidence sent to Sheffield if we are looking for the original document back

Kind regards,

P

Apologies for bumping my topic and sorry for any bother

My questions still remain:

- what are the documents applicants need to take with them to the Mumbai VFS center for their appointment

- do we really need to make two copies of every document despatched to Sheffield IF we want the original back. (I am not sure where I got the idea that if one is okay to not receive a document back - as may be the case with bank statements- one doesn't need to hand in photocopies)

Kind regards,

P
