Obtaining visa to a 16year old daughter of a British Citizen

Post by thotauk » Sat Mar 18, 2017 6:07 pm

Dear All,

Could some one suggest me the process to bring my daughter to UK.

Family Background: I started to live in UK since 1998, i received my British Citizenship in 2003/04. My wife had been with ILR all the time. My son by birth has received his British Citizenship. My daughter has received her ILR in 2006, however she never visited UK due to serious health issues with her mother. She was born in India in 2001, i was on work permit during her birth. We both were working as IT consultants.

We relocated to India in Nov 2009 to save my wife life from the medical negligence by NHS. I am back to UK in Oct 2016 to find employment, so far no luck, but will find out soon. I want to get my daughter to UK to admit her in A-levels. As per my knowledge her ILR (received in 2006) is no more valid as it gets expire if the person is out off UK for 2 years continuously.

So can some one suggest me the options/process to bring my daughter here to UK. What are the requirements i need to meet in terms of finances, accommodation etc.

Your help is much appreciated.

Best Regards,
Satish

Is the mother also going to return to the UK?

If not, unlikely child will be granted a visa if the mother does not apply at the same time to come back.
