Post by SoniyaB » Sat Mar 18, 2017 1:23 pm

Dear members
I came to UK last month and want to get my child along with my mom here.problem here is I dont have marriage certificate and I believe my husbands dependent visa can not be done without marriage certificate.
My husbands name is thr in my passport as spouse.and child passport have both parent names.
My employer saying if my spouse is not holding UK visa, my child can apply dependent visa only with my spouse. What shall I do?

Why can't you get another marriage cert?

Unlikely child will get a visa if the other parent is not also applying at the same time.

When you say 'bring your mom', what visa do you plan on getting for 'mom'?

Schengen visa doesn't help him in any way to get to the UK.

Suggest try and get a duplicate of the marriage cert.

Your husband should apply at the same time as the child. There are many refusals on the forum for children due to the other parent not applying or coming at the same time. Your mom's separate and independent visitor visa has nothing to do with this, she is not the parent of the child.

Child Visa Confusion

Post by SoniyaB » Tue Mar 21, 2017 10:15 am

I have 2 Tier Short term stay VISA valid until Feb 2018

The scenario here is :Me and My husband don’t have Marriage certificate. But we do have wedding photographs.
on my passport his name is mentioned in Spouse .On childs passport mother and father are mentioned as both of us.

Scenario 1:If my husband and child and can get dependent VISA then the both can travel together .
Scenario 2: My child applies dependent and I come to INDIA and take him along with my mother (Visitor Visa)having Mothers name as co traveller
Scenario 3: My mom(Visitor Visa) travels with my child whose dependent viSA applied having local guardian as co traveller.
Scenario 4:My husband applied for Visitor VISA and child on dependent VISA and my mom name as co-traveller on his visa.As my husband will be staying just for 15 days and MOM ,Me and Child will come together post 6 months so MOMs name should be there in CO-Traveller.

Kindly ,let me know which scenarios are feasible for VISA processing.

you need to stop thinking and understand how the rules work.

Your son can not apply for dependent visa without your partner having a depending visa. No schengen, no visit , nothing.. it stops there.

Your partner can only apply with marriage certificate, no photos, nothing else.

Your mother can apply for visit visa on her own. You cant sponsor her, the co-traveler thing cant work. If she can apply and get visa on her own, then only she can travel/.

Just putting an information (applicable in India ) if it helps ...

If you have cohabitancy, you can go to a Notary public and get an affidavit stating your relationship with your spouse. You need to be personally present before the notary with witness. You can check with a notary and get details.

My parents did not had a marriage certificate, but the marriage was registered. But we were unable to get the marriage certificate because of some damaged document with the authorities. Went to Notary public to get the affidavit. Applied for UK visiting visa and it worked.

A Standard visitor does not require a TB test.
