FLR(m) to SET(m)

Post by babymama » Thu Mar 23, 2017 10:18 pm

I need help with this pls.

I got my first FLR(m) March 2013 for 33months and the 2nd FLR(m) was granted Feb 2016.
Considering that I need 5 years to qualify for ILR (M) from the time I was granted leave to remain/enter, can i apply at the end of 5 years or so, which is March 2018 or wait for the near the end date on my Biometric card (Aug 2018)?

I just want to be sure before then.

Many thanks

You may apply for SET(M) no sooner than 28 days of your 5th anniversary from your initial grant of FLR(M).

1st FLR(M). Sometime in March 2018, then.

You can't have applied for FLR(M) the first time if you got a 33 month visa. FLR(M) is only an application made WITHIN the UK and issued for 30 months/2.5 years. If you got a 33 month visa, then you must have applied from home country. If that is the case, on what date did you ENTER the UK the first time with your spouse visa?
